2021 Syrah from the storied Thompson Vineyard in the Alisos Canyon AVA, near beautiful Los Alamos, CA. Long revered by the likes of Adam Tolmach, Bob Lindquist and Joey Tensley, this vineyard rides the line between cool and warm climate. This youthful Syrah expresses itself as dark, meaty, and smoky with intense cherry and cocoa character. Big and bold on release, this wine should age very nicely over the next 10 years. 100% destemmed, native ferment, with extended maceration. Aged in 40% new and 60% neutral French oak barrels for 22 months. 750mL bottle
